Tunnocks Tea Cakes combine a soft, crumbly biscuit base with thick dome of gooey sweet marsmallow, enrobed in a rich layer of the finest milk chocolate.

One of Scotland's best loved exports, Tunnocks Tea Cakes were created in 1956 by child prodigy Boyd Tunnock. Young Boyd was given the task of creating the sweet of his dreams by his Dad, the key founding father behind the Tunnocks bakery, Archie. Left alone in the kitchen with little more than a rolling pin, some egg whites and his imagination, Boyd first made a biscuit base, then hand piped some homemade mallow onto it and coated the whole thing in creamy milk chocolate. After a couple of hours in the fridge, he presented his creation to Archie, who needless to say, loved it. And so, an icon of the biscuit world was born.
